Cycling in Netherlands
Netherlands is famous for their cycling culture, the Dutch have built a vast network of cycling paths. There are over 40.000 km (25.000 miles) of bicycle roads and paths in Holland. These are clearly marked, have smooth surfaces, separate signs and lights for those on two wheels, and wide enough to allow side-by-side cycling and overtaking. On shared space streets you will see signs that prioritises cycling over motor traffic. Cycle paths follow rivers, cross parks and villages, they even take you right into the tulip fields.
